Genmaicha (玄米茶), is a Japanese brown rice green tea consisting of roasted brown rice and green tea, it is also known as "popcorn tea". The tea has a light yellow hue and has a fresh flavour of green tea with the warmth and toasty notes of the brown rice. The balance of nutty notes from the roasted rice and the light leafy flavour of the green tea create a mild and refreshing cup of tea. Genmaicha pairs beautifully with rich and fatty foods such as salmon or creamy dishes.
