*FOH Manager at CIBI in Melbourne

Location: Collingwood, VIC | Full-Time

This is an opportunity to join a leadership team that values collaboration and contribution. In this role, you will do much more than just manage the front of house team; you'll collaborate with our retail, events, and marketing teams in Melbourne and Tokyo to drive progress. You’ll work alongside the General Manager, Kitchen Manager, and Retail Manager to deliver an exceptional customer and team experience.

We’re looking for someone who:

・Has 2+ years of leadership experience in a high-service-quality environment

・Has managed and motivated teams of 5 or more staff
・Thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and leads by example with professionalism and care

・Is passionate about team development, training, and delivering outstanding service

・Has strong operational management skills — rostering, financial oversight, and driving team performance

・Enjoys fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and community spirit

・Has an interest in Japanese food and culture (a bonus, not essential)


Key responsibilities include:

・Leading, mentoring, and developing the FOH team
・Ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional customer experience
・Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance reviews
・Driving team engagement and maintaining a positive workplace culture
・Collaborating with other managers on sales, events, and business growth
・Managing financial targets including wages, COGS, and budgeting
・Upholding compliance, safety, and sustainability standards

*Assistant Retail Manager at CIBI Design Store in Melbourne

Melbourne's favourite design store – CIBI – is developing in exciting directions and is now seeking an Assistant Retail Manager to join our team. 

Our goal is to provide world-class customer service, and we work professionally with care. We engage and encourage customers to enjoy, and we strive for attention to detail in customer service. You'll be working with beautiful products that give joy, and you'll have opportunities to learn about the makers. We offer a supportive and positive workplace culture, excellent work hours and conditions, and opportunities for professional growth and learning.

A bit about you:

・You love making customers happy!
・You have experience delivering calm, quality customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
・You demonstrate natural leadership — you lead by example, bring out the best in others, and help your team grow.

Your experience will include:

・Preparing reports under supervision and familiarity with Excel and Google Docs.

About the position:

・This is a team leadership role that will see you oversee most aspects of sales, store management and ordering from domestic suppliers under daily guidance and active support from the Retail Manager and CIBI Management Team.
