Featuring more than 70 accessible recipes made for sharing, thiscookbookshowcases the food Meg grew up eating — pumpkin nimono, hakusai pickles — and the food she now cooks at home for friends and family — kara-age, miso butter corn, smashed cucumber and edamame salad.
Whether you're new to miso, dashi and mirin, or looking to build a regular spread, you'll find dishes to cook on repeat and make your own. This is modern Japanese cooking at its best: thoughtful, nourishing and full of joy.
CIBI Cooking Class
Guided by Meg, this class offers an introduction to Japanese home-style cooking through a mix of demonstration and hands-on practice.
Together, we’ll explore simple techniques, seasonal ingredients, and the joy of cooking together, with a selection of dishes drawn from CIBI’s upcoming cookbook (release date: 1st Sep 2026), offering a glimpse into the recipes we cook and live with every day.
Whether you’re confident in the kitchen or just starting out, this is a space to learn, ask questions, and enjoy cooking together.

CIBI Cookbook is a collection of all that we love about food and entertaining.
Featuring simple Japanese-inspired meals to share with your family and friends.
Filled with our favourite recipes from our beloved sandwiches and ramen bowls to onsen eggs and other Japanese family classics, this book is about how food and cooking can bring us all together.
CIBI incorporates elements of Japanese design culture and glimpses of our young family's worlds in Collingwood, Tokyo, and Meg's birthplace, Okayama, alongside snapshots (in words and pictures) of the CIBI feel: an enjoyment of food, community and sharing.
