This stool was devised by Q Designers, a design office run by Riki Watanabe. It has enough load capacity to be used as a chair, yet is lightweight enough that children can play with it like building blocks.

Made from a recyclable cardboard, its robustness is enhanced through a perfect assembly structure. At the time of its release, it was talked about as ``four stools can support the weight of an elephant.''

It can be assembled without adhesives, just by folding, and fitting. It is easy to disassemble and can be folded and stored compactly. It is widely used in public facilities and workshops, and because surface can be drawn on.

The load capacity of the Riki stool is 740 kg while the load capacity of a typical office chair is 100 to 200 kg. The team was trying to overturn the stereotype that paper is weak since it is commonly used for writing and drawing. The Riki tool was designed in 1965 and is still loved today.
