Nagatani-en

Iga-yaki (Iga-style) pottery is one of Japan’s most highly-regarded traditional ceramics and originated in Iga, Mie-Prefecture, in the late 7th Century.

In 1832, Nagatani-en followed a rich tradition of manufacturing Iga-yaki, dating back 1300 years.  Since its opening, the kiln has kept the traditions and techniques of 'Iga ware' and produced a number of clay pots and traditional Japanese folk utensils using the coarse clay of Iga.

In the spirit of "the creator is the true user", the company has always been committed to manufacturing with an eye on the times. Professionals and home cooks in Japan have loved Nagatani-en’s Iga-yaki products.
